Allen & Heath Avantis Digital Mixing Console

£225 a day / £450 a week

Allen & Heath Avantis hire from Firefly AV gives you a 64-channel, 96kHz digital mixing console. There are 42 configurable busses, so you can shape the routing around the show rather than the desk. As a result, it covers live sound, broadcast and multitrack recording from one surface.

The XCVI FPGA core keeps latency down to 0.7ms. Also, the Continuity UI links the physical controls to the touchscreen, which makes fast changes feel natural. Full specifications are on the official Allen & Heath Avantis page.

Why hire the Allen & Heath Avantis?

The 15.6-inch Full HD capacitive touchscreen supports gesture control. In addition, the layout is fully assignable across 144 fader strips, arranged as 24 faders over 6 layers. Because of that, a busy changeover takes seconds rather than minutes.

There are 12 RackExtra FX slots with dedicated stereo returns. So your input channels stay free for sources. The 16 DCAs also make large stage plots simple to control.

Allen & Heath Avantis I/O, AMM and dPack

Onboard I/O covers 12 analogue XLR inputs and 12 analogue XLR outputs, plus stereo AES in and out. Two I/O ports take expansion cards for networked audio. The SLink port then connects Remote I/O expanders and the ME personal mixing system.

The Automatic Mic Mixer scales to 64 channels across one, two or four zones. For example, a conference in several rooms can run from a single desk. If you need more processing, the dPack option adds dLive tools, including 16 Dyn8 engines and DEEP compressors.

What is included with your Allen & Heath Avantis hire

Every Allen & Heath Avantis hire is prepped and tested by our audio team first. Take the console on its own, or add stage racks, microphones, monitors and sound reinforcement to suit the production.

Delivery, setup and technician support across the UK

We hire from bases in Leeds and Preston, and we deliver nationwide. In addition, our engineers can patch, line-check and operate the desk for you. For a smaller rig, the Allen & Heath SQ5 or Allen & Heath QU16 may suit better. Browse our full range of mixing consoles, or contact our hire team for a quote.
