For most tournaments it is the stage set, the LED surfaces and the content chain driving them, the player and caster positions, the lighting rig and the crew to run it. Audio and cameras are often supplied by the broadcaster or the tournament organiser’s own partners, so the AV supplier needs to integrate rather than take over.
Yes. Firefly Audio Visual Solutions Ltd supplied the stage set design and technical build for the Commonwealth Esports Championships in August 2022, including 142 Absen LED panels for the main backdrop, player consoles, the live and caster studios, media servers and lighting design. The event streamed internationally on Twitch, YouTube and the BBC.
Our director, Michael Cobb, leads stage design in-house. You receive CAD-rendered visuals before build so you can review the set from camera and audience positions.
Yes. We specify and install permanent esports spaces as well as supplying temporary tournament builds, and we can provide ongoing technical support afterwards from Leeds or Preston. These rooms need to work on an ordinary teaching or trading day as well as on a tournament day, and we design them that way.
Yes. We supply technicians to install and operate lighting, LED, media servers and studio systems, and we are equally happy to dry hire equipment to your own crew on a two-day hire week.
We work UK-wide and in Europe from bases in Leeds and Preston, covering Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the wider North of England as our home territory. Large esports events are usually delivered away from base, as the Commonwealth Esports Championships was.
Every project is quoted on a case-by-case basis after a technical brief and, where useful, a site visit. Tell us the venue, the format, the number of player positions and whether you are broadcasting, and we will spec it properly rather than sell you a package.
August 2022. The first time esports ran alongside a Commonwealth Games. Our director Michael Cobb produced the stage design; Firefly Audio Visual Solutions Ltd delivered the stage set design, with the structural install by our staging partner SteelDeck.
We built the LED backdrop — 142 Absen panels behind the players, driven live from our media servers so it changed per title, per match, per team — plus the player consoles, the live studio, the caster studio and the lighting rig.
Audio and cameras were handled by ESL FACEIT Group’s own suppliers and in-house team. Our crew installed and operated the lighting, studio, LED and media servers throughout. The broadcast went out on Twitch, YouTube and the BBC.
